On Sunday night, CNN anchor Don Lemon will host I Can’t Breathe: Black Men Living & Dying in America from 8-10pm ET, on CNN and CNN International. According to a CNN press statement, “the two-hour special will take a hard look at the violence and racism faced by black people in the United States today. With emotions running high following the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd, coupled with the threat that Christian Cooper faced, this special will underscore the many challenges that exist for black men carrying out the basic task of living in the United States of America.”
The special will feature interviews with Stephen Jackson, former NBA player and friend of George Floyd, Rev. Bernice King, film director Spike Lee and more.
Appearing on The Situation Room Thursday, Lemon blasted President Donald Trump, saying, “No one wants to hear from the Birther-in-Chief, from the ‘sons of bitches’-calling person, who says that athletes are kneeling for this very reason. No one wants to hear from that,” after U.S. Attorney Erica MacDonald said that Trump as well as A.G. Barr are monitoring the investigation.Follow @CommentaryCNN
