CNN’s lead political anchor Wolf Blitzer, 72, celebrates 30 years at CNN today. 30 years ago, on May 8, 1990, he joined the network as the Pentagon correspondent, and shortly thereafter, he was involved in “non-stop coverage” of Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and the 1st Gulf War.
But he isn’t stopping just yet.
As we noted on May 5, Blitzer had been on the air anchoring for the past 53 straight days. He hasn’t taken a day off yet, putting him at 56 consecutive days now — and he’ll be on air Friday as well as this weekend for special editions of The Situation Room.Follow @CommentaryCNN
