On Cuomo Prime Time, Chris Cuomo televised his exit from his basement quarantine. He has stayed down there (mostly) since his diagnosis of coronavirus on March 31. “All right, here it is: the official re-entry from the basement, cleared by the CDC…”
Cuomo also said his wife, Cristina, who had also tested positive, was now symptom-free and cleared by the CDC.
He told CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta that the coronavirus put him into a “depression.”
“I have never had anything like this in my life. It humbled me,” Cuomo said. “I know people are dealing with so much worse, but for me, personally, I’m not that strong, and it really tore me up inside and out in terms of making me reassess things about myself and my life. It scared me, like some people, when they get a heart attack. I know this is nothing like a heart attack, but for me it was.” Follow @CommentaryCNN
