On his SiriusXM show on Monday, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo went on a rant about a bicylist who stopped near his undeveloped property in the East Hamptons. The man, identified only as David, said he thought he saw Chris Cuomo, and a woman who the bicylist believes to be Cristina, Cuomo’s wife, went over to speak to him.
“I just looked and said, ‘Is that Chris Cuomo? Isn’t he supposed to be quarantined?”
Eventually, Cuomo went over, and by his own admission on his SiriusXM show, he bemoaned that the “jackass loser fat-tire bike” wasn’t someone he could tell to go to hell because of his position of prominence. “Here I am in an almost powerless position against this asshole because I’m a celebrity and he’s allowed to say whatever he wants to me.”
But to David, he reportedly said, “Who the hell are you?! I can do what I want!”
Speaking of Cuomo, David said, “Sometimes he’s scary stupid.” David said he had stopped in front of Cuomo’s yard, where the Cuomo Prime Time host was outside with his family, and said, “‘Your brother is the coronavirus czar and you’re not even following his rules—unnecessary travel,” the New York Post reports.
David concluded, “[Cuomo] said, ‘This is not the end of this. You’ll deal with this later. We will meet again.’ If that’s not a threat, I don’t know what is.”
After Cuomo’s SiriusXM tirade (which included his now infamous line “I don’t like what I do professionally”), David filed his police complaint, he told the Post. He doesn’t plan on pressing charges unless he feels Cuomo is a continued threat, he said. Follow @CommentaryCNN
