Kayleigh McEnany, the Harvard Law grad who appeared on CNN as a political contributor and Donald Trump supporter during his candidacy, was so paranoid about CNN’s makeup staff that she wouldn’t let them prep her, a new report says. Of course, McEnany ended up joining CNN anyway in March 2016 and accepted the paychecks, despite her paranoia.
“[McEnany] was so suspicious of CNN makeup people that she didn’t want them doing her hair and makeup because she was afraid that they were going to purposefully make her look bad. That’s her mentality,” a fellow Trump campaigner told New York mag.
She was named the White House press secretary earlier this week. Prior, she had served as a spokeswoman for the RNC and Trump’s 2020 reelection team. Follow @CommentaryCNN
