Good news during coronavirus times: Bill Weir and wife welcome new baby
CNN host and world-trekking correspondent Bill Weir and his wife Kelly Dowd welcomed a new baby, River, into their family earlier this week, a nice change of pace from the coronavirus news.
“So grateful for this moment of joy in such dark times. Wish I could bottle and share it with you all,” Weir wrote on Instagram.
Dowd wrote, “After a few days in the hospital post c section, I was feeling a bit odd…I hadn’t really slept. I was separated from [Weir] due to COVID-19 hospital precautionary measures.”
Speaking effusively of Weir, she continued, that he “is one the kindest humans I know. He has a giant heart and cries openly when something moves him. He cares profoundly for all of humanity and the beautiful planet that we call home. He may actually be happiest when watching a wildlife and nature show – his eyes light up and he seems almost childlike in his wonder. He is the love of my life. He has given me the greasiest gift of my life, our son River. This post is for you, Bill…I LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU.”
