CNN Brasil, which just launched three weeks ago on a licensing deal with CNN International, already has had some staffing blowups. Lawyer and commentator Gabriela Prioli was co-hosting a debate show, and she was dissatisfied with how it was going and with constantly being interrupted and talked over, Time24 reports. So she indicated she was quitting.
“My commitment is to a rational, forward-looking, informative and respectful debate. I cannot reach my goal if I am constrained and I cannot follow participating in the debate without the conviction about the seriousness of the constraint not being mine alone, but of everyone involved, in front and behind the cameras,” Prioli said.
Observers noted she was being “mansplained.”
However, now Prioli appears to have gotten what she wanted: rather than appearing on the dayside debate show, CNN Brasil has offered her a far plumper gig — she will now host a show in primetime, though a debut date is not yet set.Follow @CommentaryCNN
