POTUS again goes after CNN’s Don Lemon, calling him ‘the dumbest man on television’

The President renewed his criticism of CNN anchor Don Lemon this morning following his performance moderating CNN’s July 30 debate in Detroit, Michigan. During the debate, one of the questions Lemon posed was, “What do you say to those Trump voters who prioritize the economy over the president’s bigotry?”

That was, no doubt, one of the questions President Trump didn’t like. On Twitter, the president said, “CNN’s Don Lemon, the dumbest man on television, insinuated last night while asking a debate ‘question’ that I was a racist, when in fact I am ‘the least racist person in the world.’ Perhaps someone should explain to Don that he is supposed to be neutral, unbiased & fair,…..or is he too dumb (stupid} to understand that. No wonder CNN’s ratings (MSNBC’s also) have gone down the tubes – and will stay there until they bring credibility back to the newsroom. Don’t hold your breath!”

Lemon returns tonight to moderate the debate with the other half of the ten candidates alongside Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.

In 2017, Trump alleged he “never” watches Lemon, and called him “the dumbest man on television.”

Earlier this year, Lemon revealed the negativity he had been receiving from the president’s supporters was taking a toll on his life and he wasn’t sure how mcuh longer he could continue doing CNN Tonight. The anchor quickly modified his remarks, adding, “I’m not going anywhere. I love being here ever single night.”

  1. How Trump got elected will forever remain a mystery.

I don’t understand why CNN is so resistant to acknowledging they have opinion hosts. Both MSNBC and Fox have them, and make no secret of it. There’s simply nothing wrong with having opinion hosts. By continuing to insist that Don Lemon and Chris Coumo are news anchors, CNN leaves itself open to criticism of political bias. (criticism that, while currently coming from the Right wing, could easily come from the Left wing in the future). If CNN would simply say something along the lines of “Don Lemon is a valued member of our prime time team, but his opinions are his own”, everyone would be better off.

Too bad POTUS doesn’t show the moral fiber, racial equality, humility and actual constructive intelligence that Don Lemon shows and has, in his mind and in his soul. America and the world would be so much better off right now if would start looking at his own behaviour and make some changes. Only God knows if he can. This is a totally non partisan opinion !!!
