CNN will host political forum, Citizen, ahead of Detroit Democratic debate

The second of its kind, CNN will host a political forum, Citizen by CNN, on July 28 at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, ahead of its Democratic primary presidential debates on July 30 and 31. The previous Citizen by CNN forum had interviews with Jared Kushner, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

This event will feature CNN State of the Union anchor Jake Tapper, CNN senior political reporter Nia-Malika Henderson, former Democratic Michigan governor and CNN senior political commentator Jennifer Granholm, and comedian and CNN Host W. Kamau Bell. The four panelists will “discuss the race to the White House and issues on the minds of voters ahead of the 2020 election.”

Next, CNN host and Democratic political commentator Van Jones will have a conversation with former Detroit Piston Grant Hill on the importance of participation in elections.

On July 30 and 31, anchors Tapper, Dana Bash, and Don Lemon will co-moderate both debates.

  1. Isn’t it a bit ironic that CNN are doing everything they can to get a democratic president which would in turn mean they would lose the current president who gives them 24/7 new stories?
