CNN drops Ken Cuccinelli as contributor upon news of him joining Trump administration

CNN predictably severed ties with political and legal commentator Ken Cuccinelli, former state attorney general of Virginia, after the New York Times reported he was joining the Trump administration for a key immigration policy role, though not the “immigration czar” position that has recently been talked about.

When covering the news on-air, CNN anchor John King noted that Cuccinelli was “no longer” a contributor to the network.

Cuccinelli is by far one of CNN’s best-spoken pro-Trump commentators, and is part of the growing list of contributors who favor President Trump who have parted with the network (though not necessarily to join the administration).
