Christiane Amanpour and husband divorce after 20 years

CNN International anchor Christiane Amanpour and her husband, Jamie Rubin, a former top official in President Clinton’s State department, are divorcing after 20 years, a source close to them tells the Washington Post, citing the split as “amicable.”

Amanpour resides in London for her work with CNN (and in the coming months, her new CNNI/PBS show Amanpour & Company will debut, officially replacing PBS’ Charlie Rose) and Rubin had recently taken up residence in Washington, DC, serving as a consultant to a lobbying firm.

The two have a teenage son.
