Cuomo Primetime offers higher ratings than previous 9pm offering

During week one of its debut, Cuomo Primetime is performing better than the previous 9:00pm offering — Anderson Cooper 360. Not only that, but Chris Cuomo’s program was, on most nights of its first week, the number-one rated show on CNN.

That said, Cuomo Primetime still fell in third in the demo against cable news heavyweights Sean Hannity and Rachel Maddow.

Cuomo’s demo numbers were good enough for fifth place overall for the day for its premiere episode, as Contemptor notes.

For its premiere episode, Contemptor reports CNN had one of its best nights recently by drawing 1.158 million total viewers and a demo audience of 392,000 — and for comparison, CNN averaged 265,000 demo viewers and a total viewership of 835,000 during May’s primetime hours.
