It was an eyebrow-raising thing to do: Anderson Cooper, who serves a dual role as CNN’s primetime anchor as well as a contributor to CBS News’ 60 Minutes, landed a big get — an interview with Stormy Daniels, who allegedly had a relationship with President Trump and was paid $130,000 to keep quiet.
The only thing is, CBS got the Daniels’ interview, not CNN, his primary employer.
That interview has yet to air; CBS News boss David Rhodes promises it will air after all the proper vetting occurs.
This Thursday, however, Cooper will sit down with Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model who claims she had a 10-month affair with Trump in 2006-07, and it will air on CNN, reports Brian Stelter, ahead of Cooper’s CBS interview with Daniels.
