With the anchor position open on NBC News’ Today show, media analysts have been speculating as to who will fill Matt Lauer’s seat. (For that matter, CBS News also has a seat open at CBS This Morning, with Charlie Rose’s firing).
Among the names bandied about include HLN’s Robin Meade by The Wrap. Needless to say, even though part of their reasoning is that “nothing topples the patriarchy like a little girl power” and “maybe it’s time to step up to the big leagues,” assuming Jeff Zucker and Ken Jautz plan on keeping their jobs, they won’t leave Meade get away.
Entertainment Tonight offered up equally unlikely CNNers, including top talent Anderson Cooper (who recently signed a five year deal) and John Berman, who is CNN’s go-to fill-in anchor for anything: early morning, daytime, and primetime.
Meade, Cooper, and Berman aren’t going anywhere…
