HLN pivots, with a new logo and tagline expected to debut

Slated for a May 8 debut, HLN is expected to unveil a new logo that “more overtly positions HLN as part of the CNN news family,” reports AdAge, along with a new tagline for the network: ‘News That Hits Home.’

And as the AdAge report notes, the CNN sibling has been focusing on buzzy regional news stories, crime stories, entertainment and weather, and less so on politics, leaving that to CNN.

HLN is focusing on more traditional news programming, with Morning Express, On the Story, Michaela, and Carol Costello’s Across America program (which missed its debut deadline of April).
