CNN International correspondent/anchor Anna Coren has returned from her lengthy maternity leave, appearing on both CNN and CNN International this morning. She left her post at CNN’s Hong Kong bureau back in mid-fall 2015 and returned to her native Australia, wanting to ensure her twin’s Australian citizenship, according to reports.
Sources told me in the past that Coren had left CNN, but CNN wouldn’t comment on those rumors.
One of the New York based correspondents, Alexandra Field, had been temporarily assigned to Hong Kong in Coren’s absence.
Coren was reporting from Sydney, Australia, on President Trump and Prime Minister Turnbull’s phone call.
