Jake Tapper fact-checks Donald Trump

CNN anchor and host of State of the Union, and a sassy favorite of CNN Commentary, fact-checked Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump on-air a short time ago.

Trump tweeted, even though he has indicated in the past he doesn’t watch CNN, that CNN had reported there were voting machine issues across the entire country.

Only, as Tapper pointed out, CNN didn’t report that.

Rather, CNN reported that in a single county in Utah, voting machines were having problems.

“In point of fact, CNN is not reporting that,” Tapper refuted. “The problem is ‘problems across the county.’ A county, not the country, as Mr Trump tweeted. It’s the difference of an ‘r’, but kind of an important one.”
