AMC Theatres announced Monday that it’s teaming with CNN to host Election Night viewing parties at 50 theaters in 25 major markets across the United States. The twist is that the viewing events in each region will be divided between pro-Democrat “Blue” and pro-Republican “Red” bashes, reports NY Daily News.
CNN’s live election coverage will be broadcast at these theatres beginning on November 8 around 7pm, when the first polls close.
“On election night, as Americans gather in their communities to watch the conclusion of this historic election, we recognize that Democrats want to cheer with fellow Democrats, and Republicans cheer with fellow Republicans,” AMC’s EVP and Chief Content Officer Elizabeth Banks said in a statement.
The event is free to attend for AMC Stub members, who are each allowed to bring two guests.
