Anchor Anderson Cooper reportedly doesn’t want CNN’s latest commentator Corey Lewandowski, previously Donald Trump’s campaign manager, anywhere near AC360, according to sources at the New York Post’s Page Six.
“Anderson was concerned about Corey’s nondisclosure agreement with Trump,” said a Post source. “And whether CNN should point out he has one.”
Lewandowski reportedly signed a $500,000 contract with CNN to appear exclusively on their air as a political commentator, following being fired from the Trump campaign.
A CNN spokesperson denies the Post’s report, insisting that Cooper’s reaction to Lewandowski’s addition was “not true,” and added that Lewandowski was set to appear on AC360 on Tuesday night, but was bumped for breaking news.
“Corey was in fact booked on AC360 . . . but the panel was bumped due to breaking news out of Turkey.”
