CNN is “no longer a TV news network,” CNN exec admits
CNN’s head of social media, Samantha Berry, conceded that CNN is “no longer a TV news network,” but rather is “a 24-hour global multiplatform network.”
Berry’s remarks go along with what CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker said earlier this week in London in an interview with The Guardian: “On television we are going to go much deeper on the one, two or three stories of real significance or interest that day, and we are going to satisfy all your news needs and questions digitally.”
Of course… CNN still spends a huge chunk on the salaries of its TV talent.
