Hugh Hewitt to reprise his role as a panelist in CNN’s two upcoming debates

Conservative radio show host Hugh Hewitt will reprise his role as a debate panelist for the upcoming two CNN Republican debates, on December 15 and then in March 10, according to a joint release from Salem Media Group and CNN.

CNN’s lead political anchor Wolf Blitzer was announced as the December 15 debate moderator at the conclusion of last night’s Democratic debate.

“I am excited by the opportunity to continue to help shape the conversation about which of the candidates ought to be the GOP nominee in 2016,” said Hewitt. “My focus remains on posing questions that elicit answers GOP primary voters will find helpful in casting their ballots.”

Salem President of Broadcast Media Dave Santrella said in a statement, “Hugh demonstrated incredible poise as a panelist on the first debate. I know CNN is as pleased as we are with Hugh’s performance and look forward to him helping frame the next two landmark broadcasts.”
