CNN has decided to cut the October 13 Democratic debate by an hour, thus making it span for only two hours, whereas the Republican behemoth debate lasted an impressive 3 hours.
As the Weekly Standard points out, there is a difference in candidates. While the GOP debate had 11 candidates, the Democratic debate is expected to only have 5 candidates.
Anderson Cooper will moderate CNN’s Democratic debate, and he’ll be joined by a team of his colleagues: Don Lemon, Dana Bash, and Juan Carlos Lopez. But unlike the Jake Tapper-led Republican debate, Cooper plans on incorporating his panelists more.
