John Walsh is very good at what he does. Not only does he make compelling television, he gets results.
And yesterday was no exception.
Paul Jackson, who had been previously featured on CNN’s The Hunt, was accused of accused of kidnapping women off the streets and raping them, and has been on the run for 24 years. But on Monday, reports CNN, he was captured in Guadalajara, under an assumed name, Paul Bennett Hamilton.
Deputy Eric Wahlstrom of the U.S. Marshals Service Oregon Fugitive Task Force said the episode of The Hunt played “a significant role” in his capture.
“It’s what started this,” he said. “It was a specific tip that came in right after (the episode) aired that led authorities to him in Guadalajara.”
