Because, why the hell not, CNN is allowing you to see the upcoming October 13 Democratic debate, hosted by anchor Anderson Cooper, in virtual reality — and all you need is a Samsung phone and a goofy-looking reality head set, reports Mashable.
“You can, through this helmet, get an absolutely first-row-seat experience of being at this debate,” Jason Farkas, the executive producer at CNN Money who is spearheading the project, told Mashable.
To access this virtual stream, you’ll need a Samsung Gear and smartphone. It will be available through NextVR, the company that is powering the technology.

Andrew Morse, who is the head of digital for CNN, reportedly watched part of CNN’s Republican debate via the Samsung Gear.
