Trump reverses earlier claim that CNN treated him well, now says they didn’t

Just mere moments after CNN’s GOP debate, in an interview with New Day anchor Chris Cuomo, Donald Trump was effusive in his praise for the network’s handling of the three-hour long debate. He said that questioners Jake Tapper, Dana Bash, and Hugh Hewitt were “very professional” and that “CNN did a very good job” with the debate.

As Trump is wont to do, he’s reversing his position.

Before the debate even started, Trump accused CNN of “milking” the debate — but then he was all complimentary when it ended.

But now, in an interview with New York Magazine’s Gabriel Sherman, Trump said, “I wasn’t treated fairly by CNN. And it shouldn’t have been three hours long. It was too long. I can’t imagine anyone enjoying watching three hours of a debate.”

Of course, a CNN-record 22.9 million viewers tuned in to watch that debate.
