CNN hires Clarissa Ward from CBS News
Former CBS News foreign correspondent Clarissa Ward has joined CNN as a senior international correspondent based in the network’s London bureau, CNN announced today.
She worked for CBS for four years, contributing to 60 Minutes and the CBS Evening News.
In a statement to the Associated Press, Ward said of CNN, “No other organization has the same scope and depth and recognition across the world. And no other organization devotes the same amount of resources and air time to the most important international stories of our time.”
Prior to CBS, she worked for ABC being in Beijing and Moscow; and previous to that, as a correspondent for Fox News in Beirut and Baghdad.
