Former Arkansas governor (and Fox news host) Mike Huckabee complained that CNN gave him only three debate questions as possible pay back for his FNC show outperforming his competition on CNN.
Huckabee did get speak the second to least, according to NPR, with only nine minutes and twenty seconds.
But to imply it was because his show beat CNN? Come on, Huckabee.
Huckabee’s senior communications advisor Hogan Gidley criticized CNN to Breitbart: “However, I was deeply concerned by the debates’ format and complete lack of substance that all too often played to the lowest common denominator,”
Gidley complained, “The Governor stayed above the fray though and came across Presidential. He didn’t get bogged down in petty bickering about nonsense – he focused on Americans and that’s what matters. The Governor has always been a rule respecter, and when they give you rules of the debate, he tries to respect them. That’s just who he is.”
