Time Warner CEO: Debate ratings will be great, “particularly if someone gets killed onstage”

Time Warner, which is the parent company of CNN, expects good things to come from the GOP debate this evening. Time Warner’s CEO Jeff Bewkes was speaking at an investment conference in New York, reports the Hollywood Reporter, and points out that CNN is seeing an uptick in advertising interest.

As for tonight’s debate, Bewkes predicts the ratings will be great, “particularly if someone gets killed onstage.” (He got a laugh in response.)

But, as moderator Jake Tapper stated last night and in the past, he wants to actually have a debate, where the candidates are arguing with each other… so, who knows.

Maybe someone will get killed onstage.
