Dana Bash, CNN’s chief political correspondent, will be a part of a panel made up of herself and Hugh Hewitt who will ask questions of the Republican candidates at tonight’s debate, which Jake Tapper will be moderating.
In an interview with Glamour magazine, she talked about her preparation for the debate. “Reading. Studying. Joining in meetings with the moderator Jake Tapper and my producing colleagues—the best in the business especially when it comes to debates.”
The best advice she’s received was, “This is not about us. This is about the candidates, the issues, and their differences. It’s our job to help Republican voters make informed choices. It was advice from Jake Tapper, and I wholeheartedly agree with it.”
Asked about Donald Trump’s now-infamous feud with Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly and if that impacted Bash’s preparation, she said, “Not at all. Our debate is different. It’s apples and oranges.”
