While CNN’s chief international correspondent Christiane Amanpour continues her leave from work (with previous weeks having been preempted for live news, or, in some cases, re-airing old Amanpour. broadcasts), the network has slotted five replacement hosts.
All week, the program had a different host each day. CNN International had British Paralympian Tanni Grey-Thompson host first, followed by human rights campaigner Trevor Phillips, and today’s host (the exception) is actually a journalist, Andrew Neil; followed by historian Simon Schama, who will host; and lastly, former Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd will host.
Rudd will speak to former CNN International correspondent Stan Grant about his aboriginal heritage and the struggles Australia is still having coming to terms with its past, per the press release.
