Fired ESPN host Colin Cowherd interviewed with CNN

Colin Cowherd, the ESPN personality who was fired because he went on a racist rant about Dominicans, apparently interviewed with CNN about a gig prior to joining Fox Sports; he will make his Fox debut in early September, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

After ESPN fired him, Deadspin indicated it was possible he would leave sports for politics.

In an interview with THR, Cowherd revealed, “I did interview with MSNBC and CNN, but there was no traction. Political radio is often angry. I’m not angry. I like to laugh. I want to be funny and interesting and compelling. You have to know what you are and what you’re not. And I’m not a politico.”
