International correspondent Diana Magnay has left CNN, we have learned. She is returning to London where she will pursue a master’s degree in International Peace and Security in the War Studies department at King’s College.
Magnay has recently been the network’s correspondent in Johannesburg (a post now filled by David McKenzie) following Robyn Curnow’s move to anchor in Atlanta.
Senior director of coverage for the EMEA region Sarah Sultoon sent out the following note:
Today marks the last day of Diana Magnay’s 15 year tenure at CNN. From London to Berlin to Johannesburg and everywhere in between, Diana has put in a stellar run for us both on screen and behind the camera. She leaves after a fantastic final few months in Africa and as one of our lead reporters on the Germanwings story. She is returning to London to do a masters in International Peace and Security in the War Studies department at Kings College (no rest for the wicked then!) and we wish her all the very very best, we will miss you Di!
