CNN’s senior political correspondent Brianna Keilar scored the exclusive interview with Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, which brought low ratings for the network.
But the Associated Press reported that Clinton would be sitting down with Jake Tapper on State of the Union. Although the AP edited their Sunday show preview to remove that (without mentioning that they had revised their sheet), the Washington Examiner still has the following line listed:
2016 Democratic presidential frontrunner and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (taped interview with Jake Tapper)
Which obviously didn’t happen…
It seems The Hill fell victim to this misreporting as well (though they have since edited their post), as some on Twitter pointed out:
