Longtime Diane Sawyer booker to State of the Union

According to Politico’s Playbook, longtime Diane Sawyer booker Polson Kanneth is making the move from ABC News to CNN’s State of the Union, which anchor Jake Tapper will take over this Sunday, June 14.

POLSON KANNETH leaves ABC News after 9½ years to be booker (senior editorial producer) for CNN’s “State of the Union,” which Jake Tapper begins anchoring next Sunday. Polson (@PolsonKanneth), long Diane Sawyer’s D.C. booker, had his last day on DeSales Street on Friday, and starts at CNN in several weeks. ABC friends are holding a farewell happy hour tomorrow at 6:30 at Edgar.

Tapper joined the network from ABC News in 2013.
