Jake Tapper takes over SOTU on June 14

Tonight, The Lead anchor Jake Tapper will appear on corporate sibling channel TBS’ late night talk show, Conan, hosted by Conan O’Brien. Ahead of the show, Tapper tweeted a picture of himself and O’Brien, holding a card, announcing he will take over State of the Union on June 14.

In April, the network announced that Tapper would be taking over State of the Union sometime in June, but no specific date was given.

Tapper will continue hosting The Lead weekdays and will continue to serve as the network’s chief Washington correspondent.
