Dish drops CNN and HLN

Dish Network has dropped the entire Turner Broadcasting family.

Here is the press release from Turner:

Despite our best efforts, we were unable to reach an agreement with Dish Network, and they have unilaterally decided to pull CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, truTV, TCM, HLN, CNN en Espanol and Boomerang off the air upon the expiration of our current deal. Turner has worked diligently for months to come to a fair agreement including multiple extensions and compromises, and it’s unfortunate that Dish is once again operating in a disruptive manner that takes away networks and programming from their customers. We are hopeful our counterparts will return to the negotiating table, and we’ll get a deal completed.

Losing Dish certainly isn’t a good thing, given the current ratings’ war.

  1. Americans should drop all Turner television if an agreement is made if money is all they care about. I for one am going to drop all Turner media. They are losing a valued viewer. I feel a petition should be started by all viewers and I may be the one to get one started. bbarbe, dianawv..

  2. “They say despite our best efforts we are unable to reach an agreement”

If that was honest wouldn’t they just agree to the same rates and not try there best to make more money. Turner is wanting “more” and the “more” will be coming from us; the comsumers.

Where’s the love? This is America i guess love is replace with greed. Once you have more than enough to live on.. comfortably! go back and take it all. There’s only so much money in this world.

Ah whatever! What do i know

  3. I fully support DISH Network as a subscriber. I really hope Charlie Ergen purges the far left liberal agenda from the network at every level of the company. Maybe then, they can get back to being a news organization.
